TMG's InSight, An Historical Perspective
Since TMG’s inception in 1992, project metrics and pricing have been gathered across engagements occurring with all manner of client utility types, sizes, applications, and operational platforms with particular emphasis on CIS solutions.
In 2018, TMG created the InSight database to begin formally recording client and project metrics in 2014 that had a project end date no later than the past 5 years beginning in 2013.
This State of CIS represents the contents of TMG’s InSight database as of 9/17/21, consisting of 138 CIS project events. A project event can reflect the results of a strategic roadmap/business case, a sourcing procurement/contract, and an implementation/go-live.
The data points focus on implementation costs for software, infrastructure, and implementation services, other costs, contingency, add-ons/extended costs, plus operational costs during project years for the various platforms or shared solutions. In recent years TMG has also accumulated work hours, FTE, rates, and RICEFW counts.
